After Aztec has influenced the Blazer Mid, Nike takes on another template design with the same canvas upper. Based on the Air Jordan 12 concept, the next Nike Blazer Mid focuses on the same detailing that is inspired by Japan’s rising sun. This time, a more Japan characteristic is being highlighted as this classic ankle-high sneaker implements red detailing over white background.
Obviously, the shoe’s nickname which is ‘Yuka’ sounds Japanese so it is just right for it to show up some Far Eastern features. The white canvas base flaunts red stitching that form sun rays in asymmetrical pattern which is visible on the toe and side panels. “Yuka”, a Japanese personal name appears on the heel tab while the designer’s branding, Sharp slash 020 replaces the Nike label found on the tongue. White canvas Swoosh and lace panels are also being applied along with white shoe laces and white textured sole unit.
